National Helpline
This site was set up by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration that provides referrals for a variety of mental health and substance abuse issues.
Better Help
Better help is a source to obtain on-line counseling from a licensed professional at any time through your computer, smart phone or table. The cost of counseling ranges from $40-$70 per week. For more information, you can visit their FAQ page.
MedlinePlus
This site provides information on a variety of mental issues including symptoms and identification of a mental health problem. There are also links to Child and Teen issues, older adult issues and improving your mental health.
HelpGuide
This site covers a variety of topics including mental health, health & wellness, children & family, Relationships, and Aging including Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia. All topics can be accessed by clicking on the menu graphic on the top left. Each topic includes symptoms, treatments, and tips for dealing with the issue including how to help someone else in that situation.
Coping
This looks at a variety of social issues with guidance on how to deal with them and talk to your children about them.
Self-Help Techniques for Coping with Mental Illness
This is a site put up by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). This is a article generalized to many forms of mental illness. If you go to the home page for NAMI, you can find additional resources for mental illness.
