About Song of Victory
Welcome to Song of Victory! This site was created for the purpose of helping people who are experiencing or have experienced the challenges of mental health issues, abuse, trauma, crisis, or simply the stresses of daily life. In other words, this site is for everyone, as all of us have faced these challenges at some point in our lives.
The articles here incorporate a number of different therapies, including music therapy. Music has a way of touching our lives in a very special way and is instrumental in the healing and growth process. In most cases, we will include a link to a Christian song at the end of the article that is consistent with the theme. I encourage you to listen to the songs and let them be an encouragement to you. For more information on the therapies themselves, please check out the therapies section.
All of the articles in this site are written from a Bible-based perspective. All of us who contribute articles believe that the Bible is the Word of God, and that it is only through the healing power of Jesus Christ that we can not only survive difficult situations, but that we can heal and thrive through them. The goal is to use Biblical truth, combined with a variety of therapeutic techniques, to find meaning and purpose in life’s difficult situations and to fulfill the desire of Jesus that through him, we might have life abundant.
Even though our articles are written from a Christian perspective, we welcome people of all faith beliefs (or even no faith beliefs) to join with us in this journey. If you are interested in learning more about Christianity, I encourage you to start with the section “Why Jesus?”. This section will walk you through the Bible from start to finish to show why we believe that Jesus is not just the only way to Heaven, but how he cares for us on a daily basis.
We invite you to get to know us on a more personal level by going to our individual testimony sections. They can be found here:
